Pony Easy Grip is an ideal series for starting knitting with crochet. The silicone grip on the handle strengthens the grip, but it is not ideal for very tight grips. Some of the hooks in my set cracked and broke, so it may not be suitable for very tight grips or very stiff yarns. However, it is a reasonably priced and quality series for a moderate grip.
